My Students

My third graders are an amazing group of students! Together we create an engaging, purposeful, caring and energetic learning community. My students come from various backgrounds and intellectual abilities, but together we create one unique, diverse and happy family!

Each day we are met with exciting challenges, as we open our minds to knowledge and our hearts to love.

My students believe in themselves and in each other and that's what makes our classroom the awesome place it is! My students deserve the best we can give them and we are thankful for this opportunity to meet their needs in this very special way.

My Project

As elementary teachers, we are always looking for resources on these two important things: good non-fiction texts to build informational text reading skills, and resources to teach current events. Time for Kids magazines give us both! As an added bonus, the kids LOVE them! To be honest, learning about our world and real life events is one of our favorite times of the day. We have rich collaborative discussions on meaningful topics and the students also have interesting facts they they can bring home to continue the discussions with their families. I can't wait to share new and interesting current event articles with my class!
