This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My kindergarten students are nothing short of amazing - an inclusion classroom where everyone's uniqueness is celebrated. I am so lucky to co-teach with an awesome team our 28 little bundles of energy that can't wait to explore, create and learn.
Our school is located in Chicago, and filled with the most wonderful families, and they try their best everyday to work and help their kids, but sometimes the best of intentions don't buy what our students need.
We work diligently everyday to put forth our enthusiasm and best practices in teaching to create an environment of acceptance, kindness and respect. These students deserve the best because they try their best! The bucket fillers in this classroom are continually proving to be the future models our society needs in this world.
My Project
My kindergarten students absolutely LOVE Social Studies and Science! However, remote learning makes it difficult for kids to really learn about these topics since everything is virtual. Children at this age are in a constant state of wonder about the world around them. Help me give my deserving students more literary resources that they can read and explore, since so many may not have these opportunities at home.
TIME for Kids digital magazine subscription will support students by giving them quality materials for learning, as well as enhance my Social Studies and Science curriculum and instruction for the entire kindergarten class.
Thank you for giving to children in need of educational enrichment for these very important subject areas.
