My Project
My name is Molly Lane. I am working with Miss Greene to expand the books in our school library. I am the librarian for Tikigaq School in Point Hope, Alaska. I have been the librarian since 2014. The library services about 250 children, grades K-12.
The library is a consistent place for the children of my community. The library recently received a much-needed renovation. During that time, I weeded out old books. Now, I would like to restock the library with a variety of books for all the children to enjoy.
Seeing brand new books in the library is so exciting for the children. The majority of my library is categorized by reading level, so sometimes children become bored with the materials readily available. By having a new selection, I hope to instill the love of reading. Thank you for your donations!
