Students really love gamification of the classroom.

To help them learn how to create maps we will start with a Ticket to Ride game. This will help them create routes or alternate routes to different locations based upon what other players do.

We are planning to use Ticket to Ride to help students learn transferable skills, like alternate means of getting to a location depending on factors, such as weather or

road closures. Students will also have to learn budgeting skills to buy tickets. They also have to learn to save if they want to have routes that are more expensive and this will greatly translate to personal finance classes in high school.
