Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am requesting a timer for my classroom to help support time management, as I provide my students opportunities for productive struggle and group collaboration. Having a large timer will allow students to be able to clearly see the time from across the room. Likewise, having this timer will allow me to not be tied to using a computer timer, which isn't always easy to have visible if I need to use a different tab.

The lamination sheets allows me to display their math work in a protective manner!

Likewise, I create a variety of bulletin boards throughout the school year that encourage the social/emotional well-being of my students, as well as giving them an opportunity to express themselves! These lamination sheets will also be used for these projects!

A handful of my students can be ancy in class, tapping pens, etc., I want to give these students an outlet, but not in a manner that could disrupt others. I believe these fidget toys could be a great alternative!

I have great joy doing life with my students. Seeing them grow, not just as students, but as individuals is such a passion of mine. They have vibrant, large personalities and bring a smile to my face in their own way!
