Students in these classes are interested in math, science, and STEM related careers. Some students are more academic and are exploring colleges for engineering while others are looking at AMT and AME programs.
Students need to use current technologies to be competitive with students from schools of higher socioeconomic bases.
Students need to have access to various technological platforms. TI does a great job in providing hands-on, user friendly devices. Also, TI provides outstanding support and activities for their calculators. Thus, making them a great addition to any classroom.
Students who would benefit include gifted to challenged. All students are included in the incorporation of new technologies. Math and science students go nuts over the TI calculators and what they can do. The higher level and applied applications of these calculators are unreal. If students like them, are intrigued by them, and get comfortable with the technology, we know it will increase learning.
The students in my classes are varied across the educational spectrum. The day is split between the math and science gifted and talented to those who struggle to receive credits.
