TI Graphing Calculators

Help me give my students a better chance to learn math by using TI graphing calculators.

My Students

I teach at a school that has mostly low income students. They receive free breakfast and lunch. Our school is 98% black. They are striving to get into the best high schools in Chicago.

To strive for their best, they need all of the opportunities that all students receive.

Projects that I will ask for are their to support and improve the students achievements. I specifically teach math to the 6th, 7th and 8th graders. I hope to push them to do their best.

My Project

This year we had the TI 30 calculators which are good, but they do not have the capability of graphing. They also were older calculators so they broke easily.

If we can have access to graphing calculators, this will allow us to push the students academically.

They will visually be able to see what they will receive in high school as well. I just changed to middle school from high school. Using the graphing calculators adds more accessibility to explore graphs and other applications on the calculator.

I am excited to add new parts to next years curriculum if we have the graphing calculators. We can explore more!
