Thumbs Up, Part 2!

Help me give my students supplies and music for our kalimba unit, as well as a more advanced kalimba for students who work ahead.

My Project

Students in my music classes are learning how to play the kalimba, or the thumb piano. We started with the small, 8-note mini kalimbas, and are working on transitioning to the larger, 17 and 21 note models.

Some students are having a hard time seeing the names of the notes, and the numbers, which are engraved on the tines/keys of the instrument.

The stickers in this project will make the instrument more accessible for those who have trouble with that. Also, I am making up a lot of them materials we are playing from scratch, so having some more music as resources would be motivating for the students to learn even more quickly. Lastly, I have a few students who are learning really fast, so I would like to make a more complex model of the kalimba available to them so they can move ahead and play more challenging songs to keep them from getting bored.
