My Project

I am the sponsor of a news crew club. For the last 3 years these students have been using Chromebooks as a camera to capture images and video for the campus news. The campus news is shown to the entire campus once per month to share highlights and interviews of the wonderful things happening at our school. Using Chromebooks for pictures, video, and interviews is less than optimal for this type of content. The chromebooks are difficult to handle when filming others and the sound quality doesn't pick up unless you are very close.

Our news crew members would greatly benefit from utilizing the advanced features of the DJI Pocket 2 camera.

This camera is designed for this exact type of filming. It is small and portable, has a gimbal for stablization, face tracking, and a great microphone. Our crew members would be able to capture those action shots in a flash and get shots that weren't possible before.

Our students would be able to focus more on the quality of thier content and less on just trying to caputure the moment in a way that will work. My news crew members are eager to do a good job and these cameras would enhance not only their experience as a digital editor but the entire school would receive higher quality news shows to view.
