Facebook photo albums, instagram, imgur, these are just a handful of ways people are sharing their photos with family and friends. We take pictures of things that we see are important to capture so we can share it with others for them to enjoy. Have you ever wondered what a child finds important?
Welcome to Pre-K!
Come on in! We ask that you be respectful to those around you as well as the materials you play with. Language isn't an issue here; we're confident you'll pick it up quickly. We learn through play and exploration so you're required to bring your curiosity and imagination. Have fun! Our kids are young, ambitious, and curious, but there's darkness lurking about that's much too serious. Pre-K is a time to explore and play, to imagine and create until the end of the day. But the trouble that's looming seems to be blooming. Academic rigor! Academic rigor! They're telling us to grow up much, much quicker. They want to prepare us to be college ready. We want to go to college, but at a pace that's steady. Our parents can't help us out of the troubles that's lurking; it's not their fault! They're too busy working! It's up to you to help us keep our childhood we're about to lose, you wonderful people, the people of DonorsChoose!
My Project
The world as we know it is viewed entirely different from the perspective of a child. Have you ever wondered what they find worthy of capturing on camera? The things they deem important to capture may have an entirely different meaning for them. I want to allow them to capture these moments and explain their reasoning via instagram. The iPod touch will be used for it's camera function and the ability to post on instagram. I want my kids to have access to a camera for those moments they wish to capture on camera. Every photo they take that can be posted on instagram will be shared along with their explanation of why they took the picture and why it's important. I wish to share with the world what pre-kindergarten students capture on camera. I want to see the world through the lens of a child.
Your donations will allow our students access to a camera so our kids can continue to capture memories and self-expression.
Their pictures and descriptions of the pictures will be posted on instagram for the world to enjoy and see. Please help allow our young photographers to capture memorable moments for their friends and family to share!
The instagram account has been created. Post will be under the handle Kindersicht translated as Children's View. Help our kids make their first post!
