My students need Chromebooks to look for information and become independent learners.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a small neighborhood community and go to a Title I school. They receive a free breakfast and a free or reduced-price lunch each day. They enjoy coming to school to learn and are quite an inquisitive group.
They are like sponges wanting to absorb as much information as their brains can hold.
I would like them to learn how to be independent and search for information on their own rather than depending on me to be their main source of information.
My Project
Technology has become a driving force in today's society and in the classroom. My students need technology to help them in their learning. They will use the Chromebooks to research information for upcoming Science projects. They can use them to practice and review the multiplication facts which they so desperately need to know.
The Chromebooks can be used as part of differentiated learning where the students can work in small groups.
They can access information independently and learn how to think critically. They can watch videos that can enhance their understanding of the content that we are discussing for the week.
