it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hello!
We are a third grade teaching team at an inner city school in Massachusetts.
Our student population is 100% free and reduced lunch and we are a title 1 school. Each year we do get supplies from our district for our classrooms but they are never enough or the best quality. We want to make sure our students are set up for success for the entire year with the best supplies and rewards as well!
We have many unit projects throughout the year as well! Our units are about Magic Treehouse, weather, traditional tales, and marine animals. We use the trifolds for our final marine animal project where students present their research to the school and families.
The recess equipment and other fun items are for positive rewards students can earn. We encourage students to complete lessons and to read chapter books. At the end of reaching a certain goal in the year, we then have a fun event like throwing paratroopers over the railing or having a bubble party outside!
Making learning fun and exciting is one of our main goals at our school and we would love to give our students the best year yet!
