My Students

As the year goes by, I am amazed at how many of my students have blossomed in the Visual Arts. To see them use the techniques of Elements of Art and the Principles of Design is a wonder. They are able to see how their perspective can change just by looking at their paintings and drawings from a different angle.

My 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students took a leap of faith and started mixing paints to create many shades that enhanced their paintings and are able to visualize the true beauty of their surroundings.

My students travel at least 25 miles to and from school and have the opportunity view the rich and beautiful surroundings which they can implement into their artwork. We have great sunrises and sunsets in Northern Arizona.

My Project

The material I am asking for will help my students express themselves on paper. We are in trying times right now and my students can openly express how they feel regarding the COVID-19 and how it is affecting their lives.

My students are expressing boredom and wanting to get back into the classroom to be with their peers.

The paper provided will give them the opportunity to keep their hands busy and their thoughts at bay. Giving them the chance to express themselves, on paper, will bring them out of their boredom.
