Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

At our school we incorporate a schoolwide behavior system, PBIS. It stands for Positive Behavior Intervention System. We start each day with a "Good Morning" and a fist bump. Starting our day in a positive way sets the tone for the rest of the day.

The students at AVE are energetic and eager to learn!

Our school is in a rural farm town and we don't have a lot of resources here, but our students love their town and school. My third graders are comprised of English Language Learners, high achievers, kind-hearted, collaborative boys and girls, all deserving of getting the most out of their education.

My Project

Our library is a fabulous place with many books! The students in my class love reading and we love doing author studies. We were able to get The Witches and The BFG from our amazing school library. However, those are the only sets they have by the fabulous author Roald Dahl. Matilda and James and the Giant Peach are 2 other amazing stories by Roald Dahl.

I know that my students will love these stories as much as I do.

Please help our class get these sets so that we can read them and enjoy them throughout the year. Roald Dahl is such a creative writer and we can't wait to read more of his stories!
