I need resources for my students to become better readers and writers! I am hoping to use the reading strategies book and also the writing strategies book to help to guide my instruction.

My Students

My sweet class of 3rd graders are very special to me. They are all motivated and have a zest for learning. They LOVE when I try new things in the classroom! I love to do room transformations and my class always wants to know when the next one will be. My class understands that they must use creativity in all subject areas. I am a reading, language, writing, and grammar teacher and am always looking for new ways to inspire my students.

My Project

I plan to use the reading strategies book and writing strategies book to guide my teaching. Recently at an awesome professional development I attended, the leader kept referring to both these books and even used them while teaching as a guide. I was inspired and encouraged to buy them. After looking online, I realized I needed some help with the purchasing of them, as they are a little pricey. I also am realizing that I need more picture books to use during whole group instruction to teach certain skills with. I am hoping to receive the 3rd grade leveled readers to use.

I want my students to meet their highest potential and I need your help!

I hope to be able to provide them with the best instruction each and every day, so they can strive and improve their grade equivalency.
