This Little Piggy Went for an Autopsy! - Part 2

Help me give my students fetal pigs for the experience of a "real-life" forensic pathologist as they work to determine how their pig died.

My Project

I teach in a high school that has a very large ELL and low-income population. During the "wounds" unit of my forensic science class, my students become "real-life" forensic pathologists. They work to determine through an autopsy dissection how their victim/pig died. These fetal pigs are inflicted with various wounds by me postmortem and it is up to the students to determine if it was a gunshot wound, stab wound, laceration, multiple wounds, etc. that caused their victim's fatality and which organs were damaged in the process.

This lab is highly engaging, extremely educational, and a great way for students to see what wounds really look like on a victim as well as their internal anatomy.

The donation of these pigs will allow me to continue to provide this lab to my students. Your help is greatly appreciated in funding this project! I would love to continue to provide my students with the opportunity to do this fascinating autopsy dissection!
