I teach a wonderful third grade class in Florida. My class is comprised of an evenly diverse population. A large portion of my class includes students that need additional academic support and materials. Our school and our students are wonderful, but we are a public school facing the series of budget crunches (like many schools) and depend on supporters to help our children.

This project is designed to get my students to learn about the United States of America. In our school we have some atlases, but some are a bit outdated, and I want my students to have access to the most current and relevant materials. My students are very interested in the United States and enjoy exploring the many states and their different communities.

This project is designed to get my students to read an atlas and challenge them to learn the different aspects of our country. I am asking for your help to get 10 copies of the United States Atlas for Young Explorers by National Geographic. By receiving these reference books, you are helping put one the information about our great country into the hands of eager learners in my third grade class.

By choosing to support this project, your will be supporting the curiosity and excitement of my students as they explore our great nation. This project is important to me as it helps put these reference materials into the hands of my students. I strongly feel that need to explore our country and our world.
