My Students

I teach kindergarten in a suburban/agricultural town in Ventura County, California. This year I have 22 students with 15 boys and 7 girls! My students are a fun, diverse bunch! For some, it is their first time in a classroom, while others have lots of school experience. Even after 24 years of teaching, this keeps me on my toes and reaching deeper and deeper into my teaching toolkit to meet all the diverse needs of my students.

In our classroom, we LOVE learning!

Some of us learn quickly, while others learn more slowly, but we all love to learn - even ME!

My Project

The two-day GYTO conference will invigorate my teaching. Using the most current research-based strategies, the Get Your Teach On Team will help me light my classroom lessons on fire! This conference is specifically designed for K-1 teachers to help increase passion, learning, and fun in the classroom.

Help me pack my teacher bag and head down to San Diego, California for some educational magic!

The workshops will cover all parts of our curriculum including, reading, writing, math, and STEM activities. The presenters are leaders in the field of primary education. The GYTO conference promises to be unlike any other educator's conference!
