My Students

Being a kindergarten teacher, I often have the privilege of being a student's first teacher. I am honored to be their introduction to a classroom setting, and I don't take this opportunity lightly. My top goal is to instill a love for learning in each student that is a part of my classroom at any part of day.

My wish for each one of them is to receive a spark of something that they are interested in, whether it be connected to language arts, math, science, social studies, or the arts.

The environment that I create in my classroom is intentionally geared to spark a passion in each and every child.

My Project

These bands will give my students another choice in flexible seating! We have come to discover that we learn differently when we can move our bodies! Our brains are a bit more at ease and the students are ready to be involved in their own personal education. And boy do we love to learn! The bands will help the students learn, and the teacher planner will help me plan engaging lessons to maximize their learning in our classroom.

Since receiving other flexible seating resources from generous donors through DonorsChoose earlier this year, I have been in awe watching the transformation of my classroom.

Projects like these instill choice, responsibility, and self-regulation in my young students.
