This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Sixth Graders are wonderful students. They overcome many difficulties at home and in the neighborhood on a daily basis, yet these issues do not seem to dampen their enthusiasm for learning. Our school is located in a very urban section of Southern California.
A Coby Android Tablet will serve many functions in our classroom.
It will serve as an e-Reader for those students who read better from a computer screen. The search to the Web will allow us to have a portable reference resource. During workshop time, students will be able to use the many apps to practice math facts, geography facts, and strengthen their problem solving skills.
For us, just adding one more piece of technology to access inter-net resources for our many students will help maximize their learning.
My Project
A Coby tablet will add so much to our classroom. It will really allow our learning to be engaging. My students will be able to instantly view pictures, access websites, and complete research projects. The opportunities are limitless and everyone will benefit from your generosity. And it will last for years!
The fact that my students will be holding the most current technology in their hands, will mean their educational experience is cutting edge even.
This will help each one of them forget for a minute their difficulties at home as they grow academically and technologically.
