Great kids need great opportunities to express themselves! I teach ART to 200 7th grade students - a very diverse mix in a Title I school. Many students with low socio-economic status have lots of personal issues that make learning harder for them. I want to provide them with plenty of supplies and tools to express themselves and feel accomplished artistically!
This is my first year teaching art (before I taught 15 years of English at middle and high school).
I don’t have many supplies and a budget of less than $2 per child. HELP!
My Project
This is the same project I submitted previously, although I ordered a limited amount of supplies to ensure funding. I am requesting additional supplies for the same project. The multicultural paint colors will allow my students to paint themselves accurately and show the diversity in my school and my classroom.
The watercolor paper will allow us to do one portrait using watercolors, and one using tempera paints.
I sincerely appreciate the funding from all my prior colleagues and friends who helped the initial funding and the gift cards that enable me to get what I need.
