Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager learners and strive to do their best every day. I work with each student to ensure that they are given an individualized learning experience that will push them towards excellence - all while creating a loving and caring environment. My students face many challenges but they come to school every day ready to learn and exceed expectations.
These students are driven to break down barriers.
They have the mindset that they are capable of achieving anything. I have watched them grow into extraordinary scholars that know there is no limit to their capability.
My Project
Students will have the opportunity to connect with various styles of text with this list of books and is a great start to a new little library. The books are engaging and meaningful in different ways.
The donations to this project will help to build a classroom library and allow students to fall in love with reading.
As a special education teacher with a room for working in small groups, I would love my space to be an extension of the classroom with a variety of books and materials for the students to use. As young learners, this is only the beginning to a lifelong journey of getting lost in literature!
