My Students
I have just applied for a projector and an iPad for my students in my classrooms. For the projector to be effectively used, it needs a mobile screen to go with it. As for the Apple iPad, it needs a protective case and a stand to minimize the physical damage to it.
Currently, I am responsible for teaching AP Calculus, Physics, and Algebra and Trigonometry in a high need neighborhood in New York to students who aspire to become engineers and scientists.
It is undeniable that technology is a tool of necessity in education. Integrating technology in my classroom would help my students not only better understand the concepts of the above mentioned disciplines, but also prepare them for their higher education in college.
My Project
This equipment will complement other equipment that will be use to help students acquire those skills that they need to better interact with the material taught to them. The projection screen is necessary to use in conjunction with the projector, and the iPad case and the iPad stand will help protect the iPad from unnecessary damage from multiple uses by multiple hands.
In soliciting this equipment, my goal is to serve someone in need.
No matter how ambitious I am about helping my students, I can only do so much.
