This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My Kindergarten students are very excitable. We spend our days learning to read, write, and count, but also how to love, respect and share. We work on ELA, math, science and social studies daily. We are going to master reading!
They love to learn and can make an adventure of mostly anything!
We cherish our memorable moments, such as the hands-on experiences and edible experiments. I am not afraid to laugh or be laughed at and this connection of laughter keeps us close.
We are in an area that needs a lot of attention. The children need the attention, the love and the opportunity to succeed in the most imaginable way ever!
My Project
My class has a strong routine that we do not like to break, but that old sharpener just keeps breaking our pencils or breaking down and taking a 2 day nap. We cannot have that anymore! We are asking for a sharpener that can handle so many children needing a fresh sharp pencil for all of our writing adventures.
Crayons, colored pencils and stickers will bring so much life to our daily agenda!
So many children come to school without supplies. the teacher is constantly having to fund the materials. We truly look forward to having the materials we need to be successful with our arts and crafts.
