Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach students with Autism. I have multiple grades, 1st-5th. I have two little girls and 13 boys. Most of my students have behavior problems, which means they behave better when they can move.

All of my students have to ability to learn, they just have sensory issues that make some things difficult.

My student's families depend on me to teach structure and coping methods that they can transfer to home. I teach at a Title I school, and we have limited resources.

My Project

Students with Autism often exhibit signs of ADHD. They fidget a lot and often have a lot of energy. My student also like tight spaces. When they get nervous some of them put things over their heads or sit in the locker spaces.

I am asking for Bunjee chairs.

The Bunjee chairs support students of all sizes. It gives students the ability to bounce. Ironically when students are able to move they can focus on the task at hand. Each student would get a chair to sit in and bounce while they work. Having these chairs will help students focus on their work.
