My Students
Third grade is the best! Students learn to multiply, divide, and identify fractions. Cursive is also introduced! My students love to learn and are excited to be in the classroom. Phonics instruction is critical throughout the early elementary school years. We could use classroom resources to help support phonemic awareness skills and promote fluent, accurate readers!
My Project
This year my third graders have been working hard to increase their reading and writing skills. Covid-19 disrupted their last term of first grade and most of their second grade year. We are still working at increasing phonemic awareness, accuracy, and fluency skills. I would love to utilize these resources to assist and support students at meeting their own unique reading goals for this year! The individual mirrors will help students to learn about how to form and manipulate phonemes. The other supplies such as individual writing response white boards, and word building centers can also be used in small groups, during direct instruction, or taken home to support engagement in case of remote instruction. I know these supplies will help students to stay focused, engaged, and will promote more accurate and fluent third grade reading!
