Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hard working, creative, and diverse group of learners. They come to school ready to learn, and I want to give them a safe, happy, productive classroom.

I teach at a Title I school in Houston where 90 percent of the students receive free lunch.

Some of the students in my school participate in the Backpack Buddy program. My students are third grade English Language Learners. Despite the adversity, my students are eager to learn and do their best.

My Project

A scrapbook is a creative project that appeals to my students' creative sides. Having an instant camera, cardstock, patterned paper, decorative-edge scissors, pens, and sheet protectors will help my students create memories that will last a lifetime. My students are excited by the ongoing arts and writing project that chronicles their Third Grade school year.

A scrapbook is not just a memory book, it is an excellent tool for enhancing writing skills.

Each month my students are writing pages for their scrapbooks that are highlighted by a photograph that goes with their writing. Help my students have all the supplies for creating their personalized scrapbooks.
