This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This group of third graders are so eager to learn this school year. After a few bumpy years, these students are understanding what is means to belong in a structured classroom. School supplies only last a few months. Pencils, paper, and expo markers are what we go through the most. Glue sticks, color pencils, and erasers are also materials we are in need of. I would like to have these supplies available at hand. These materials motivate students to become more creative and inspire them to work harder during class. Sharpens pencils and a fresh piece of paper is a great way to start the school week.
My Project
These materials will make a different in my student's learning because students will be provided with the basic materials to succeeded academically. In a third grade classroom with 25+ students, we go through a lot of pencils, paper, glue sticks and markers. We are constantly writing, problem solving and interacting with each other. These materials will provide students with the ability to complete their work without having to stop. With the limited time we have, having these supplies at hand will guarantee that we use our instructional time wisely. Students are responsible for their supplies by keeping it nice and safe in their pencil boxes.
