My Project
The chips, Rice Krispie Treats, and other snacks I am requesting will be used as items to sell in our classroom store using "classroom bucks". During our Money unit of study, my students will earn classroom bucks for being prepared, prompt, positive, polite and patient. These 5 Ps are the classroom behavior expectations where they can earn classroom bucks. Student leaders will set up and manage the snack store. They will be in charge of setting up the store, making change during a purchase, and keeping track of sales.
This project will provide my students with a hands-on experience in financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
Not only will this project give my students an understanding of how earning and spending works, it will also show them what a small business looks like and how it operates.
