My Project
This is an amazing group of students. They are hard workers, great students, and have such a vast variety of interests they enjoy. This group of students enjoy reading so much, and they have found so many books they love reading this year, from Roblox, to Last Kids on Earth, fact books, and even books about rocks! Over the year I've seen them grow into totally new kiddos, and many of them develop new enjoyment for reading topics or genres from sharing books with each other.
For the summer, I would love to give them a book to read personalized to them, as well as a snack for them to enjoy while reading.
I was able to do this with my students the past couple years all thanks to some amazing and generous donations, and my students were so excited to have a book to take home for the summer that belonged to them, and was personally chosen for them. I can't forget to send them home with a snack as well that they have particularly enjoyed this year, and I'll be adding some candy and a couple fun things on my own. Getting to know them this year has been a joy, and helping them expand their love of learning, or figure out something new they love to read about has helped me choose a book or two for each one of them at the level they are comfortable reading to enjoy over the summer, as well as keep for a memento of the great year that we had.
