In the past, third grade has eaten lunch at 10:55, so my students have really enjoyed having snacks at the end of the day. This year, school starts at 7:35, and my students don't eat lunch until 12:20, so having these snacks in the morning has really help students from getting too hungry, which has helped them be able to stay focused. \r\nI have 29 students this year, more than I've ever had. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for the donations to this project so I could get snacks for my students. I found out pretty early in the year that my class had quite a few Minecraft lovers in it, but I didn't realize how popular Minecraft books would be! \r\nThe idea for this project came from one student, who had finished the only copy of the first Dave the Villager book I had, and asked if I could check if their were more books because the story didn't seem to be finished. We were so excited when I found out that there was not only a couple more books, but 11 total books in the series! When our new chairs first arrived, our students could hardly wait to try them out. The color matches the theme of our classroom so great. The durability of the the chairs will last for many years to come. \r\nEach morning our class helps take down their own chairs. With these new chairs they are so much lighter for them to handle. The chairs are just the perfect height to go along with our tables.
