I am the Gifted and Talented teacher at CCBES and meet with children from k-5th grades. This is the first year for this position and I am building a program to encourage all children to be thinkers. Children are fortunate to have technology at their fingertips and are very knowledgeable because of readily available information. However, I am seeing fewer children having strong logical and reasoning skills. For this reason, I am creating Thinking Thursday. On this day or any day, children will have a choice of games that require them to think logically and strategically while having fun. My favorite part about these games is that they can accommodate the many types of learners our school sees and is inclusive to all demographics.
