My Students

My fourth grade students are diverse learners with variety of interests. Students are encouraged and engaged in project based learning, which requires reading variety of resources such as current affairs and up to date information.

Students enjoy learning and analyzing facts about their community, state, and the world, in interesting ways.

Students read variety of texts and collaborate to take action on a topic or an issue. During this process of learning, students are encouraged to present their understanding an artful way: movement, music, drama, and visual art.

My Project

This year, I intend to allow students to express their understanding by creating visual representations using acrylic paints. While the paints are available, the brushes are not and costly. I am requesting several types of paint brushes for our painting adventures.

I believe that all students can create!

Painting to express mood, theme, or to represent what they have learned can be quite exciting.

Students will become artists and be responsible learners, who can take care of tools and materials.

This project will help stir the creative energy students have and encourage their imaginations and originality to stand out. Integrating the arts engages the mind of the students and their creativity across content areas.
