My Project

Puzzles are a great way to build important STEM skills because they encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and logical reasoning. When solving a puzzle, you have to analyze the problem, look for patterns, and test different strategies—just like scientists, engineers, and mathematicians do in real life. Math puzzles, for example, help strengthen number sense and arithmetic skills, while logic puzzles train the brain to think clearly and make connections. These kinds of mental challenges are not only fun, but they also help develop the foundation needed for success in STEM subjects.

In addition to sharpening thinking skills, puzzles also promote creativity and persistence.

STEM fields often require trial and error, especially when testing ideas or solving complex problems. Puzzles mirror this process by encouraging people to keep trying even when the answer isn’t clear right away. They can also build spatial awareness and design thinking, especially with 3D puzzles or building sets. Whether it’s working solo or in a team, puzzles offer a hands-on, engaging way to explore STEM ideas while building confidence and curiosity along the way
