My Project

Successful learning starts by forming authentic relationships with students and that begins by understanding how each student learns best. I strive to make my classroom accommodating for the wide diversity of learning styles, and to make every student feel seen and supported. These tractor seats would provide my classroom with flexible seating options, and let my students feel comfortable in their education. This seating would help accommodate students with difficulty staying in one place and give them an outlet to move around, consult their peers, and build a classroom environment that invites discussions and questions while reducing behavior disruptions. The seats let students to adjust the height, swivel, and roll the entire chair. This is perfect for supporting focus and promoting participation!

These seats would contribute toward a positive classroom culture by giving my students a healthy way to get their zoomies out!

Offering students these stools empowers the students to advocate for their personal needs. The students can get some movement out while staying in their own space and they can feel more comfortable, which will allow them to learn the concepts being studied. Giving students the autonomy to navigate their learning spaces builds confidence, promotes active engagement, lets them become the leader of their own learning, and lets curiosity shine. My goal of meeting every student's individual needs starts with this project—the small but momentous seating choice that fuels collaborative learning and makes my classroom a home for all.

Mrs. Hilden will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by November 22.
