My Students

Our students need classroom materials.

Our enrollment is 1,645 students with a total minority enrollment percentage at 56%.

Our total economically disadvantaged population is 60% of our students.

It is our mission to guide these students to brighter futures. Many of these students will be the first generation in their families to go to college and I hope to help them as much as possible. Our students have an exceptional opportunity to see the play Hamilton in Atlanta in May. Many of these students have not left their county of birth. Help me get the students out of town and into the beginning of a more advantaged learning environment.

My Project

How often do you get to seeing entertaining history? Not that often. I try hard to make history fun but even I can't complete with Hamilton, the musical show.

My students have the rare opportunity to engage with the actors of the show as well as view a matinee performance of Hamilton (thanks to Gilder Lehrman).

Gilder Lehrman is making available 50 student tickets for a matinee performance on May 1, 2020. All we have to do is get to Atlanta. Please help us get there.

Understand that my students have likely never left the county of their birth. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for them.
