This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a wonderful group of 4th graders! They are eager and motivated to learn! My goal is to create a safe and comfortable learning environment for my students to give the best that they possibly can, every day!

As a teacher, I try to always keep the compassion alive in me, especially for my students.

We see these children every day and sometimes don't know their struggles, their worries (tests can be a lot of pressure!) and there is no better way to connect with your students than understanding them. Doing so, I am learning on a daily basis that they need things that I cannot provide on my own. That is where generous donors from DonorsChoose.org come in--they (you) make this a reality for them. My Project

My students have made tremendous growth this year in Reading. I want them to keep the momentum by showing them that reading is fun!

I want to expand our classroom library to include more updated books that are relevant to them.

With books from the "Who Was" series and the "I survived" series, I can expose them to informational texts to expand their knowledge of non-fictions stories. Similarly, I am requesting books from the other fiction series such as "Big Nate" so my students can read for enjoyment if they choose to do it through literature texts. With these books, my students will have access to the most modern books for kids in their age group!
