Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is special to me because it is my first-year teaching! My school is a Title I school, meaning most students are from low-income households. Prior to this I was a paraprofessional who saw many students come to school with little or no supplies.
My class this year has students with a variety of skills and capabilities: creating this project (mobile whiteboard, paper cutter, pen holders, etc.) is the first step in helping them do their best.
Another reason I created this project is to ensure all my students have equal opportunities to learn and grow throughout the school year, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
I want my classroom to be a fun learning environment where my students are excited to come each day!
