There's Only One You: Make the World a Better Place!
My students need supplies such as paint and paint brushes to create a beautiful rock path in our new Learning Garden that will be enjoyed by students and neighbors of our school for years to come!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Doyle's classroom raised $739

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our PK-8th graders are enthusiastic diverse learners who attend a Chicago Public School located in the Logan Square area. I teach at an inner city school where 90% of our students are Hispanic and 85% of our population falls into the low income category.
Despite some of the challenges in our community students are learning to develop resilience with a positive growth mindset.
Our student body is comprised of amazing students who strive to be global citizens in their local community.
My Project
At our elementary school, students receive a high quality education with the focus of learning going beyond academics. Teachers and school staff recognize the importance of Social-Emotional Learning, and how life experiences outside of the classroom can affect academics and behavior.
Students receive Character Education daily, and this year our school community is focused on kindness and how being kind to others can positively impact their lives.
The supplies requested for this project will help students in all grade levels to see how one person can affect others and create positive change in the world. After our project is complete, we will install a rock path in our new Learning Garden so that future students and neighbors of the school can enjoy it!
