My Students
I have some amazing students with a love for reading and we need to work on our comprehension skills and have more opportunities with listening to a story. I would love to add a listening center into my literacy centers. I feel it would help not only with their comprehension, but also reading and the ability to write. We would love the opportunity to be betters listeners, readers, and writers! This would also ready them for first grade and success in literacy for years to come.
My Project
My students will be able to answer questions and comprehend what their reading. They will listen to books in the listening center and do activities afterwards based on what they read. This will benefit them in reading and writing as well. Left to right correspondence, following along with a story, finding sight words, and retelling in their writing. With the Lakeshore Listening Center we will be able to build their comprehension skills and get these students reading. They will be able to retell a story verbally, write about the story, and listen to the story with the equipment that is needed.
