Due to suddenly being confined to our homes, no matter how big or small, we all entered this time unprepared. The students do not have adequate supplies at home in order to complete the work that is now being asked of them. On a typical school day, all of those supplies would be in our classroom, to be shared by all, not at the child's home or in their personal book bags. We constantly hear about the technology gap, but we must also focus on the simple school supplies that our students are lacking as well. It's amazing what a pack of crayons or a pair of scissors have the ability to do!

My students are eager learners who truly want to do their work, want to learn, and want to share with their peers and the world. Their desire to do so much, with so little, is the driving force for this project. My heart belongs to each and every one of my kindergarten through fifth graders and I want to (have to) share my knowledge (head) with them during this time of distance learning.
My Project
As we are all at home teaching and learning, supplies are quite limited. It is imperative that the students, and myself, have the supplies needed to complete the work that is asked of us. Many of our students do not have headphones that would allow them to drown out background noise as they work online, or crayons, scissors, colored pencils or other basic supplies.
