My students need a class library of musical theatre vocal music books to use for audition prep, workshops and class projects.

My Students

My students absolutely love the theater. They come into class each morning ready to explore, learn and perform scenes, monologues, dances and songs with enthusiasm. These students have found their safe place in the theater and are free to explore the art of acting.

My students come from various areas around the west valley of the Phoenix metro area.

They are students who are looking to be challenged, who work hard and are committed to learning. Our school is a back to basics school that focuses on creating a partnership between students, parents and teachers.

My Project

My musical theater students will use these songbooks in class when we are doing performance workshops, mock auditions and for preparing for real auditions outside of the school setting. The songs in these books are appropriate for middle school students and are formatted and written in keys that are accessible to young teenage students. By having these resources, my students will be able to prepare for auditions with the correct type of music in keys are that will showcase their talent.

Donations to this project will help the confidence and help prepare my musical theater students for auditions and performance technique.

Music and theater gives students confidence, the skills to speak and sing in front of large crowds and a place to feel comfortable creating and letting go.
