Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All of my students come into my classroom wanting to succeed, but not all of them have the means to make that happen. Whether it's financial or lack of preparation most of my students come into my classroom asking for paper, pencils, and other instruments to help them get through class activities.
My students always want to do the work, but sometimes they just don't have the tools to actually try.
Since I teach primarily 9th grade, many of the students in my classroom have basic understanding of note-taking skills. I hope to further develop these skills so when they pursue higher levels of education, they have the knowledge of how to study and take legible notes. Many of the supplies in my project list include annotation tools outside of just pencils. Multi-colored pens, highlighters, and erasers are all instruments I want my students to feel comfortable using in class. I hope to start this next coming school year with a care package for all my students with all the tools they'll need so they're ready to learn!
