Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work at a unique school filled with both ESL (English as a second language) and high poverty students. Our students have individual personal struggles that would break your heart, but once you step through the doors you wouldn't notice anything but their positive and resilient attitudes for learning.
My students love and support each other through every aspect of their learning journey.
We have students from ALL over the world, speaking 77 different languages. We are like family.
Every student is welcomed with open arms regardless of where they come from or what language they speak. Education and love have a universal language and, in my classroom, we have plenty of both!
My Project
Supplies are limited at my school, but that's not going to stop me from getting my students what they need! Students learn best when they are inspired and invested in their learning.
I want to give them opportunities to use Art to bring their learning projects to life!
I have requested paint brushes and paint, palettes, canvas paper, and colored pencils.
I plan to use these Art supplies for all subjects; Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies and Science. Students can paint a poster to present their research projects. They can paint the life cycle of a butterfly. They can create patterns for Math. They can paint their favorite Historical figure.... and much much more! Please help us bring our learning to life by donating to our project!
