My Students

I am honored and humbled to have the opportunity to play a part in shaping the future of 165 students. I have fallen in love with the way my students appreciate everything they are given. It has made me a better person and teacher. This motivates me to try to expose them to as many opportunities as I can. Their determination is truly special and it has inspired me to teach them new things for the next generation of pioneers.

I want to remind them that success is not a number!

On paper, 94% of my students are economically disadvantaged, 40% of them are English language learners, and 13% have a learning disability, this is not who they are.

Our school is located in an impoverished neighborhood, but their eagerness to come to school and learn is contagious and they are encouraged to rise above their circumstances.

My Project

Healthy snacks will keep my students' locomotive running throughout the day. It also gives me the opportunity to introduce them to healthier alternatives to their snacks of choice. These snacks will stop their hunger and open their eyes to a whole new world.

I aim to make my classroom comfortable and safe by providing for all my students' needs.

I want to eliminate a student sitting in class or at home feeling uncomfortable because they are hungry or the junk food they ate for breakfast is hurting their stomach. Healthy snacks give my students the opportunity to be present at the moment and focus on the lesson. Please invest in my students' comfort, future, and minds.
