This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are full of curiosity, questions and love to talk. Whether they are telling me about their weekend or engaging in meaningful academic conversation with their peers, my students this year are natural social beings.
Each and every day they are overcoming obstacles in their path to becoming the best they can be.
Students in my classroom to learn every day through whole group, small groups and center activities. I incorporate a variety of different instruction and strategies to meet my student where they are. This way ensures that all students' needs are being met. My students have a love of learning that any teacher would wish to have as a class.
My Project
My students must be able to think critically, communicate and solve everyday problems. Math is often frustrating to students. I want to be able to help my students overcome this stigma by providing math centers and manipulatives in the classroom.
Being in an urban area my students need the necessary tools in the classroom to help them compete in an ever-changing society.
By donating to this project you are helping a classroom full of students defy the odds. By being able to use math each and every day in a variety of learning activities my students will be on the path to success that is not defined by their zip code.
