Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Middle school is about experiences. One of those experiences is working in settings that are collaborative. The 8th graders are sitting in groups of 4. However, for the groups to be successful and to flourish, different activities and opportunities have to occur so that they develop those skills, so the groups can be effective.
Battleship and Sudoku are two activities that require students to work together to achieve a common goal.
Students must communicate, agree to disagree at times, but in the end work together to complete the mission.
Puzzles require critical thinking, logical reasoning, and the ability to try different approaches. This trial-and-error process helps develop valuable problem-solving skills applicable to various aspects of life.
