My school is a Title I school in a rural county. The students here do not get as much exposure to the arts as children who live in more metropolitan areas. One reason for this lack of exposure is distance, the other reason is that the majority of students who attend this school are living in poverty. My students come to school because they are eager to learn and because it might be the only routine thing in their lives. Through community, collaboration, creativity, and communication, I teach them with enthusiasm.
My chorus students love music and singing.
They have a tradition of excellence marked with superior and excellent ratings at festivals and evaluations. Students in the choral program regularly attend honor chorus events at the county, district and state level. I provide every possible opportunity for my students to succeed. With your help, we can afford even more opportunities!
My Project
This project includes choral music and soundtracks for the choirs at our middle school to use in future performances.
These chorus students love music and are excited to learn some new songs!
Some of our older holiday favorites are falling to pieces and require replacement - "From A Distance" being one of them. A few of the other selections are songs that the students themselves showed interest in learning in chorus class. The medley packages are also highly favored by myself as they allow us to learn a variety of songs in one complete package rather than buying 5 individual songs at 30 copies each.
