Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a very diverse class which includes English language learners, bilingual students, and students from different background and cultures. Establishing a sense of community inside our tiny PreK classroom is an essential learning skill when the class is very diverse. The donation of a wooden railway table, bake mixer and number cake set will encourage my students to build a real-like community service during learning dramatic play and building play center. They will learn that bakers are important in our community. Also, sharing and building communication skills is so much fun as we all learn about social studies while pretend-play with a railway wooden table.
The use of these materials will encourage my students to interact with each other and to invite and invite them to play and engage them to be more creative and use their imagination.
This type of community service in our classroom will encourage participation and will help them develop empathy and leadership skills.
