This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having games to play, fidgets to use, SEL activities, and fun prizes at the end of a session can increase my student's positive experiences in therapy. Playing games with teenagers is a good icebreaker. Having activities and games that draw focus away from the students while we talk about difficult things in their lives makes it easier for them to discuss the challenges they are facing.

My students deserve the chance to process their emotions and heal in a low-pressure environment.

They have so many challenges in their lives and big emotions that they usually don't know how to handle. They want to gain skills and understand what they are experiencing! This project can help make that a possibility.
